The Amelia Educational Foundation met on June 12, 2021 for their regularly scheduled monthly
Board Meeting.

Head of School Report

The Board heard an update from Rodney Taylor, Head of the School. Mr. Taylor reported on the
successful graduation of the Class of 2021. We wish them the best as they continue their
education and enter the workforce. Thank you to the parents, teachers, faculty and family that
supported our students in the Class of 2021. Congratulations to all the 2021 Graduates!
At this point we are expecting a return to some sense of normalcy for the upcoming school year.
We will continue to monitor the state and VCPE requirements should COVID-19 issues
reappear. We plan on adopting a mask optional policy unless directed otherwise. Any changes
to this approach will be communicated directly to our school patrons.
There are two openings for teachers in the Lower School. Please reach out to Mr. Taylor if you
are interested in learning more about these positions.

Bash for Cash

Save the Date! The AA Bash for Cash Annual Fundraising event will be held on Saturday,
October 23rd at the Academy. Please plan on joining us for this fun evening that raises money to
support school operations. Look for additional details soon.

The Board discussed business matters in Executive Session that due to privacy concerns must
remain confidential.
