The Board heard an update from Rodney Taylor, Head of the School.
Amelia Academy Class of 2024 Senior Privileges
Senior Class President Gracie Morris and Vice President Kyle Anderson addressed the Board with a request to approve a list of
Senior Class Privileges. The Senior Class Privileges were approved as presented and will be allowed throughout the year.
This is an annual tradition at the Academy, and we are proud of the group of ten seniors that will enjoy these privileges
during their senior year.
Annual Fund Committee UTV Raffle
The Annual Fund Committee will be kicking off the fundraising year with a raffle of an off road utility vehicle (UTV). We
need volunteers to sell raffle tickets at the Field Days of the Past. The money raised will help the general school fund. In
addition to selling tickets, we will have free swag!
In exchange for your two-hour commitment we are giving you one ticket for admission to the Field Day of the Past
festival on the day that you volunteer.

Dress Code
Amelia Academy students are expected to show up at school dressed for success. The dress code can be found in the

School Art. Rachel graduated from Longwood University in 2017.

teach US History, World History, Writing, Civics and Government.

five years.

Bash for Cash – Save the Date!
The AA Bash for Cash Annual Fundraising event will be held on Saturday, October 14th at the Academy. This is a ticketed
event and not open to the general public – ticket sales are open – contact the front desk to purchase raffle tickets!
New Gym Bleachers
Join the Amelia Academy Community to help upgrade our gym with new bleachers! We are asking for YOUR support to
make a lifetime impact by purchasing a seat in the gym. The new bleachers will be secure, plastic seats that will allow
the school to house up to 500 people.
Everyone in the Patriot Community is encouraged to participate in this capital improvement. Seats are being sold to
cover the cost of the new bleachers. Our community can honor loved ones, students, alumni, family and friends
by having a plate placed on a seat to recognize that person.
It costs only $250.00 a seat. We hope you will join us in this endeavor and begin sharing this opportunity with your
friends and family. Together, we can make this happen with little cost to the school. Our students and the Amelia
community will benefit, especially as our facility is used by so many for events, both joyous and somber.
We all look forward to providing a safe and welcoming environment to all who enter our school. To make a gift and
honor someone with a named bleacher, please complete this form and make a payment through the Academy’s secure
payment portal or print the form and mail with a check (payable to Amelia Academy) — P. O. Box 106, Amelia
Courthouse, Virginia 23002
