Financial Aid — Special Opportunity
To be eligible for a scholarship, student(s) must be a resident of the state of Virginia and have a family income of less than 300 percent of the current poverty guidelines by family size as determined by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. (For example — A family of four would qualify with $79,500 annual income.) The student must also meet one of the following criteria:
- Attended a Virginia public school for the prior year
- In the current year, has attended a Virginia public school for one semester and transfer to a private school
- Is eligible to enter either pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, or first grade
- Was not a resident of Virginia for the year immediately preceding receipt of the scholarship
- Is a prior recipient of a scholarship foundation scholarship
