New Events

Here’s what’s happening this week around AA:  

~ The LPT has kicked off their annual Little Caesars Fundraiser!  See attached flyer!  
Click here ( to order today. It’s easy and only takes a few minutes to order. You can pay by credit card and the yummy Kits will be shipped right to your door by FedEx. It’s the same price to ship 1 or 2 Kits, so you might want to get 2!   This fundraiser ends on March 2.  

~ On Thursday, March 21, we will be hosting Middle School Forensics.  Grades 5 – 7 participate in the competition.  Grades 8 – 12 will be required to attend to assist in various ways (lunch help, leading groups around school, etc.) **This is a change from what was reported last week.  
Grades PK – 4th ONLY do not attend school that day.  Grades 5 – 12 are expected to be at school that day. 
More details will follow. 

~ The library will have a bake sale on Feb. 29.  Contact Mrs. Berry if you can help donate items!  

~ The Junior Class is selling delicious chicken dinners to help raise money for Prom!  You can get a chicken leg quarter, cole slaw, baked beans, and roll for only $12.  Orders are due by March 1.  Meals will be served on March 8, pick up time TBA.  Flyer is attached. 

~  Need an Easter gift?  The SGO is selling Pura Vida bracelets in school colors!  You can get one for $10 or TWO for only $15!   See Mrs. Hayghe, any SGO member, or the office to buy yours today.   

~  The new bleachers are in!  Would you like to help out by purchasing a bleacher in honor or memory of someone?  Call us for more details! 

~ Let’s Go NUTS for Reading!  Students can once again earn a Flying Squirrels ticket by reading!  If students read 8 books and return their completed bookmark by Friday, March 22, they earn a free ticket to the June 5 game.  Parents can purchase tickets through the following link:

~ One School One Book is getting ready to kick off again!  Please see the attached form if you want to sign up.  If you aren’t familiar with this – we will ALL read a book together.  Anyone is welcome to participate!  You read at home each night as a family and we will all get together and celebrate and discuss the book when done.  This program was a hit last spring and so much fun!

Thursday –   Pizza 
Friday – Cafe CLOSED – Pack your lunch!  

Cafe notes –
Mar. 1 – Cafe will be CLOSED – Students will need to pack their lunches and snacks.
Mar. 11 – LPT Chick – Fil – A day – LAST Chick-Fil-A day of the year (Cafe closed) 


Congratulations to all four basketball teams on great seasons!  Uniforms are due now if you have not turned them in.  Please place each uniform in a gallon ziploc bag with your child’s name on it and turn in to Mrs. Anderson ASAP.  

Baseball and softball conditioning has already started or will start next week!   Practice schedules will be forthcoming.  Please contact Mrs. Anderson with any questions and if your child has not turned in a sports physical for this year it is due now.                               

Pep Club is starting back up!  Pep Club will meet from 3 – 4 pm starting March 12 in Mrs. Hayghe’s classroom! 
Other pep club dates are:  March 26, April 9, April 23, and May 7.  

**Practice schedules for all sports are on our school calendar on the website OR on the calendar given out by coaches.
